Well, hey, guys! Been a while since I've really posted much of anything, huh? Just because I haven't been on here doesn't mean I haven't been drawing, though! I'll be uploading a few things at a time so there isn't a deluge all at once.
Otherwise, I should probably update you all on what's going on in my little square of the world. So, my husband and I moved. I'm starting a new job. I have two adorable little rats that I love to pieces. What else? Hmmmm....Oh, yeah. I'm going to be a mommy in February. <3

Sorry I've been gone so long! For a while, every time I'd hop onto dA, it'd start making my malware and antiviruses freak out, so I kinda had to take a break in hopes whatever the problem was would sort itself out. Normally, this seems to happen more in the presence of ads...but the amazing 
surprised me with an early b-day gift of a membership, so...BACKSTREET'S BACK! ALRIGHT!

ALRIGHT!This also means I can catch up on a LOT of art since I have access to references and my wrists have gotten a bit better. (Yeahhhhh, they were kinda shot for a while there.) Other news in the world of Katie consists of finishing more edits for Central Avalon and completing the manuscript for Shadows of the Moon, making three books in the series complete. I went ahead and gave NaNoWriMo a try again this year, and completely lost my mind--I finished the 50,000-word monthly goal minimum in 3 weeks. I need a hug, a nap, and a social life. I'm still working on that new book--another in the series--but I'm taking it at a much more leisurely pace now.
How are you guys?! Seriously, tell me all the things! I miss your faces!!!

Hey, guys! Yeaaah. I just realized that it has been a while since I did a journal, so I should probably check in.
First and foremost, I was offered a volunteer internship as the personal assistant to the managing editor at the "Swoon" division of "Month 9 Books." It's a small publishing group, but everyone's super nice, and I'm hoping to learn a lot. As for writing and querying, I'm still in the query trenches, muddling through and hoping to find an agent, but, with writing, I'm coming upon the final third or so of "Shadows of the Moon." A long time coming, it feels good to be moving along with it. ...Yeah, that's about it. lol

Hey, all. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry if I haven't been SUPER active lately. I've been TRYING to do stuff on and off, but I've been all kinds of busy. After finishing Housing Dark, I went right into edits, I started querying agents with Central Avalon again (something that required writing an entirely new one!), I've worked on more of the new Shadows of the Moon first draft, been trying to get a bit of plotting and planning for the series on the whole, been working on a challenging, larger commission for HostileCobalt, been beta reading for friends, trying to brainstorm for something with bloombri, wrote a synopsis for Central Avalon (since some agents require them for querying) and did a bit more editing for that book, trying to do more to keep new stuff coming with the Facebook page and trying to self-promote, been preparing for a pitch frenzy tomorrow....I'm just glad I've been able to do this all around starting up work again for the summer.
Let's face it, if I make past this week with Pitch Madness, that alone will be a victory. XD
